Deep Tissue Massage
This involves focused work to release knots, increase mobility, and eliminate tissue adhesions. While deep tissue uses more pressure than Swedish massage, it should not be painful or uncomfortable.
Fertility Massage
We offer focused work on pelvic, hip structural and muscular alignment, blood flow, and optimal uterine alignment. Your specially-trained practitioner works with the organs of the reproductive system to decrease scarring, pelvic adhesions, blocked fallopian tubes, stagnation of blood, uterus placements and spacing in the pelvic area, and tubal obstruction, thus increasing the function of the reproductive organs. Treatments are recommended at least four times within a natural monthly cycle. This very useful aid in fertility can be used along with acupuncture and yoga to increase its effectiveness.
Hot Stone Massage $130/75 minutes
Heated stones are strategically placed on the body and used in a full body massage. A soothing combination of massage and aromatherapy create a relaxing experience that soothes muscles and increases circulation and well being.
Oncology Massage
Oncology massage is a special type of massage developed specifically for cancer patients who have unique needs which must be addressed to make sure that a massage is beneficial to their health. We focus on creating a gentle, nurturing environment for which you to relax. Oncology massage is body work that is designed specific to the needs of people who are dealing with cancer and/or its treatments. The main focus is to enhance healing while doing no harm to people whose bodies are dealing with lowered immune systems, at risk for developing lymphedema, stressed by radiation and/or chemotherapy treatment(s), or are recovering from surgery.
Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage
Our prenatal certified therapists use special techniques to help decrease stress, aid relaxation, and relieve the aches and pains that come with pregnancy. Studies have shown that lowering stress through massage benefits both mom and baby, and include improved pregnancy outcomes, deeper sleep and lower postnatal complications.
Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu massage is a complete system of healing bodywork that involves gentle stretching and light hand and finger pressure along specific energy pathways on the body. It is performed while the patient is fully clothed and no oils are used during the treatment. This offers an added level of convenience, comfort and relaxation for many people. Shiatsu can treat everything from headaches and muscle soreness to painful menstruation and chronic back pain. Additionally, shiatsu massage can help with anxiety, stress, tension and muscle issues. Regular treatments can improve overall blood circulation, posture, and energy flow in a patient. In the 1954, the Japanese government fully acknowledged Shiatsu as a legitimate form of healing therapy. Please note that Shiatsu is not included in the Promise Program.
Swedish Massage
Swedish strokes are lighter in pressure than deep tissue, and are intended to affect entire body systems, rather than specific areas. Your therapist uses a variety of strokes to improve circulation and relax the body and mind.
